A man’s X account has been suspended after Nigerians reported him for an insensitive tweet joking about rape.
After a 14-year-old girl was raped nearly to death by a 15-year-old boy, the X user wrote: “How to stop rape, say yes.”
His suggestion angered X users and his supporters tried to excuse it by calling it “dark humour”.
Many people asked him to take down the offensive tweet but he refused.
After his tweet was reported, his account was suspended by X and Nigerians are celebrating the suspension.
