President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following an 18-day working visit and retreat in France and the United Kingdom.
According to the State House, the presidential jet touched down at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 9:50 p.m. on Monday. He was welcomed by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, and other top officials.
Tinubu left Nigeria on April 2, spending time in Paris before traveling to London two weekends ago. While abroad, he remained actively engaged in national affairs, issuing directives to security agencies and holding virtual consultations with key government officials.
In Paris, Tinubu met with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the U.S. Department of State. Their discussions focused on enhancing bilateral ties, regional security, and economic development in Africa. The talks also addressed collaborative efforts for lasting peace in eastern DR Congo, emphasizing multilateral cooperation.
Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, was among those present to receive the President upon his return.
