Police Escorting A Convoy Shot A Boy Dead In Abuja – Lady Narrates

A lady has tearfully narrated how a Nigerian police officer, while escorting a convoy, fired a live bullet that killed a 22-year-old boy in Abuja.

According to her, there was a fatal accident involving a truck along Dutse Road in Abuja. People had gathered at the scene as victims were still being pulled from beneath the truck. The crowd and resulting traffic led to a blockage of the road, especially the stretch leading from Dutse to Tudun Wada.

While this was ongoing, an unidentified convoy attempted to pass through the blocked road. In an effort to clear the way, the police escorts began firing tear gas and live bullets to disperse the crowd. Tragically, a 22-year-old young man whom the lady identified as a brother from her community—was struck in the heart by a stray bullet and died on the spot.

The lady questioned why the Nigerian police would resort to using live ammunition simply to clear a path for a convoy. She revealed that the deceased had just completed his welding apprenticeship about a week ago, only for his life to be cut short so suddenly. In deep pain and emotion, she demanded justice for the boy.
