The Nigerian Navy has confirmed the arrest of three suspected drug peddlers in Akwa Ibom State by personnel from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ibaka.
In a statement released by the Navy, the suspects were apprehended on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Ibaka, Mbo Local Government Area, for being in possession of a large quantity of Indian hemp.
*“On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Forward Operating Base Ibaka apprehended three suspected drug peddlers in possession of a significant quantity of Indian hemp in Ibaka, Mbo LGA, Akwa Ibom State,”* the statement read.
The Navy confirmed that the suspects have been taken into custody and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
