A Nigerian Muslim woman, Yahya Balikis, shared a message she received from a woman, lamenting how her mother-in-law beat her over a minor argument.
A Facebook user, Ibrahim Baba, commented on the post, saying that the woman is stubborn and will continue receiving beatings from her mother-in-law.
“You are stubborn and she will continue to beat you, there is only one thing you should have done (stay out of her way) people staying in one room together but are able avoid each other for peace to ruin. A family house is big enough to avoid your mother-in-law. If you avoid her and she still causes your beating your husband may support you if he knows what he is about. I know people will say did you agree to stay in the family house but remember that you guys save a lot from renting if there are free rooms in the family house just avoid your mother-in-law,” he wrote.
