Borno State Police Command has arrested a 44-year-old woman, Falmata Muhammad, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of the state.
Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that he incident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, when Falmata Muhammad attacked her husband, Muhammad Mallum, 50, with a knife, inflicting a fatal chest wound.
The victim was rushed to the General Hospital, Gwoza, but was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
His body has been deposited in the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
Following the report from a relative of the deceased, police detectives from Gwoza Division arrested the suspect.
The murder weapon was recovered as evidence.
Police sources said a full investigation into the motive behind the attack, with plans for diligent prosecution has been launched.
