Timi Dakolo has accused Pastor Femi Lazarus of displaying double standards after the pastor condemned gospel artists for demanding payment to minister in churches.
The back and forth between Femi Lazarus and Timi Dakolo has been going on for a while now, as the singer responds to the pastor who is criticising gospel singers demanding a fee for their talent.
Most recently, Pastor Femi shared screenshots of an invoice from a gospel singer making certain demands for themselves and their crew in order to perform in a church. The pastor condemned this action.

Reacting, Timi Dakolo also released an email purportedly sent by the Femi Lazarus International School of Ministry to a religious student. As seen in the mail, the student was asked to pay $150 or NGN181,200 which was the Naira equivalent at the time in 2024.
Timi asked why Pastor Lazarus is against gospel singers receiving payment for their work, while he and other pastors receive payment for theirs.
