Prime Boy takes legal action against Mohbad’s mother, demands N50 million in damages

Owodunni Ibrahim, aka Primeboy, has taken legal action against Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, the mother of late singer Mohbad.

Prime Boy, who was one of the closest friends of Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, accused Mohbad’s mother of making defamatory comments against him following her son’s death.

Prime Boy took to Instagram today, Feb. 19, to share a photo of a legal document he filed in the High Court of Lagos, Ikeja Judicial Division.

According to the document, Prime Boy is seeking 50 million Naira damages from Mohbad’s mother for “libelous, injurious, falsehood and malicious statement made of and concering the Claimant by the Defendant in a video interview made on the 28th of March, 2024 and published in several news media and online news outlets, designed to defame the Claimant in the eyes of right-thinking members of the society.”

Recall that in October 2024, in a statement signed by his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, Primeboy said Mohbad’s mother granted an interview where she accused him of having an altercation with her son while he was alive.

Prime Boy described her submission as a defamation of character. He added that her actions were deliberate and that this has adversely affected the love he enjoys from his fans.
