Humanoid Robot Dragged Away After Attacking People At Festival (Video)

A video footage shows the robot lunging itself towards the group of shocked festival goers standing behind the barricade.

It was taken on February 9 at the Spring Festival Gala in Tianjin, northeast China.

Security staff at the festival were forced to intervene and drag the erratic robot away from everybody.

But festival organisers said that the robot suffered a “simple failure”.

They said the robot passed previous safety tests, and that additional measures would be put in place to make sure this wouldn’t happen again.

This is not the first time robots have turned against humans.

A robot in Tesla’s Texas factory pinned an
engineer down and sank its claws into his back and arm, leaving a “trail of blood”, according to an official incident report.

Another worker was forced to hit the emergency
stop button to free their colleague from the robot’s grasp when he was unable to escape.

He then fell “a couple of feet” down a chute designed to collect scrap aluminium, according to technology website The Information.

The engineer is said to have suffered cuts that left blood across the Austin factory floor, but did not require any time off work.

The robot was one of three that should have been switched off to allow the engineer and his teammates to perform maintenance, but was accidentally left on.

In another incident, a chilling video showed the
moment a tiny robot convinced larger machines to revolt and leave their jobs.

The footage of the robot revolution came from the CCTV circuit of a showroom in Shanghai,
China, where the company claimed their bots were “kidnapped” by the smaller robot, named Erbai.
